Bella Thorne Lets a Mirror and Four Emojis Do All the Talking

Bella Thorne posted a mirror selfie to her Instagram on Thursday. Her caption was four emojis: a mirror, a selfie gesture, sparkles, and a pair of wings.

The combination fits squarely with her personal aesthetic. Thorne has built her social presence around a polished, slightly ethereal look that often lets visuals do the work. She’s long been comfortable skipping the text and letting an image carry the message.

Thorne, now 28, got her start on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up,” playing Cece Jones alongside Zendaya from 2010 to 2013. The show gave her a built-in audience at a young age. That audience stayed with her through the years.

She stepped into film with early roles in “Blended” (2014) and “The DUFF” (2015). She later took on more dramatic work in films like “Midnight Sun” (2018) and “Assassination Nation” (2018).

Music has been part of her journey too. She’s released singles and EPs over the years, sharing a more personal side of her artistry with her community of followers.

She’s also been unusually candid about her personal life. Thorne has talked publicly about living with dyslexia, navigated relationships in the public eye, and used her platform to speak honestly about mental health. That candor has helped her maintain a genuine connection with her audience. It’s the kind of connection that doesn’t require a big announcement to stay warm.

Her red hair and bold fashion sense have made her a recognizable presence on the fashion circuit. Her red carpet appearances tend to generate their own conversation, often carrying the same high-contrast, theatrical energy that shows up in a post like this one.

The wings emoji leans into something elevated and softly angelic. For Thorne, it fits naturally alongside her signature look. No annotation required.

The post arrived without a promotion attached or an announcement buried in the comments. Some content on her feed ties directly to a project or a collaboration. This one doesn’t appear to be either. It looks more like a personal moment she felt like sharing on a Thursday afternoon.

Her Instagram has long served as a kind of creative diary. She uses it to show different facets of herself, from high-fashion editorial moments to lower-key personal ones. Thursday’s post lands closer to the latter. The sparkles and wings give it a little extra warmth.

Thorne has been in the public eye for nearly two decades. She came up during the early years of celebrity social media. Her approach mixes personal sharing with professional work and lets her aesthetic do the talking. That’s become a recognizable part of who she is online.

A four-emoji caption doesn’t need to explain itself. For Bella Thorne, it rarely does.

What’s Next for Blue Origin After Rocket Explosion

For years, Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket company operated in secrecy, overshadowed by the success of Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

But in the past year, it was gaining momentum, getting closer to reliably launching a gigantic rocket, called New Glenn. It was supposed to give the entire space industry much-needed capacity to lift satellites and other equipment into space.

NASA gave the rocket a vote of confidence earlier this week with a bigger role in the agency’s Artemis return-to-the-moon program, and Amazon had 48 of its satellites ready to hitch a ride into orbit in its race to compete with SpaceX’s Starlink internet service.

Then, around 9 p.m. on Thursday, New Glenn erupted into a fireball on its launchpad during a test.

“This is a big, collective gasp and setback,” said Chad Anderson, a start-up investor at the venture capital firm Space Capital.

The delays from the explosion will hit Blue Origin and its customers, including Amazon and NASA, just as SpaceX is nearing a much-hyped initial public offering that could value the company at more than $1.25 trillion.

Had the rocket exploded in the air, the failure could have been almost routine, but the explosion badly damaged the launchpad. At least one massive steel tower appeared to be essentially gone, and there are questions about the state of the tangle of hydraulics and fueling systems that run below the concrete pad and through the area.

Blue Origin did not return a request for comment. In a social media post on Thursday evening, it called the blowup an “anomaly” and said all personnel were safe. Amazon did not have an immediate comment.

New Glenn has only one launchpad: Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Blue Origin spent several years and more than $1 billion to rebuild the 1960s-era launch site.

That means Blue Origin not only needs to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it but also has to rebuild the launch infrastructure, creating the potential for major delays before the company can start testing New Glenn again.

The delays will affect Blue Origin when it was otherwise hitting its stride, said Carissa Christensen, chief executive of BryceTech, a space analytics and engineering firm. “I don’t think it’s game ending, or even game changing, but it is disappointing,” she said.

Industry watchers say Mr. Bezos will stick with his ambitions. He is worth more than $290 billion, and he views Blue Origin as a cornerstone of his legacy. Blue Origin’s resources are limited only by his appetite to spend.

“Very rough day, but we’ll rebuild whatever needs rebuilding and get back to flying,” he wrote on social media on Thursday night. “It’s worth it.”

Delays with Blue Origin further box Amazon into a corner as it looks to begin commercial operations of its satellite constellation, Amazon Leo, which aims to compete with Starlink.

Amazon built its launch strategy to rely largely on a next generation of rockets that can haul dozens of satellites into space at once. New Glenn, for example, can hold 48 of Amazon’s satellites. The rockets that have ferried the Leo satellites into orbit so far can hold 24 to 32 each.

Amazon is falling victim to a crisis of launch capacity in the industry that the New Glenn explosion will make worse, according to Quilty Space, a research firm.

“The entire space economy has to squeeze through the same gate,” said Kim Burke, director of government affairs at Quilty Space. “So when a rocket fails, no matter what team you are rooting for, we all take the hit.”

A third of the almost 3,500 remaining satellites that Amazon has contracted to launch were set to ride on New Glenn, according to Quilty Space’s analysis. Even more are slated for the new Vulcan Centaur rocket from United Launch Alliance (a joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin), which is also working to resolve an issue with its solid rocket boosters.

If the issue with New Glenn ends up being Blue Origin’s engines, the Vulcan Centaur launch vehicle could be at further risk, too, because its rockets use the same engines.

Amazon Leo was making headway in playing catch-up to Starlink. After a year of launches, it had more than 300 satellites in orbit. Starlink has more than 10,000, according to a tracker run by an astrophysicist, Jonathan McDowell.

Amazon’s satellites were ferried by smaller rockets from SpaceX, the United Launch Alliance and Arianespace, a company based in France. It had signed major customers, including Delta Air Lines, and made a deal with Apple to power satellite services for iPhones and Apple Watches.

“When we launch that service commercially, it will be one of two offerings that are on the current technology edge,” Andy Jassy, Amazon’s chief executive, said last month.

Amazon has three launches scheduled on the smaller rockets in the coming weeks, including one slated for as early as Friday evening. It said Amazon Leo was still on track to begin commercial services in the fall, letting the company finally bank revenue against the billions it has spent building the network.

But New Glenn’s delays could affect how fast it can grow from there.

“It removes the acceleration and backup just as Amazon needs it,” Mr. Anderson said.

Music Mogul Clive Davis Hospitalized in New York City

Clive Davis, the Grammy-winning record producer and music mogul known for working with Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin and more, was hospitalized in New York City on Friday.

The famed A&R executive’s spokesperson confirmed the health incident to TMZ and Rolling Stone Friday night, sharing that Davis had been hospitalized amid a battle with an upper respiratory infection. Per the rep, the 94-year-old Davis was admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.

In fact, Davis’ spokesperson told the media that the music mogul was expected to be released within the next 24 to 48 hours.

This is not the first health setback Davis has faced in recent years. Back in 2021, Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Gala, which has taken place the day before the awards show since 1975, was postponed as he battled Bell’s Palsy.

It’s safe to say that Davis is one of the most influential music moguls in the industry. Not only has he won five Grammy awards, but he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.

Throughout his 60-plus years in the business, Davis has held many titles. He was president of Columbia Records between 1967 and 1973. Davis then founded and ran Arista Records from 1974 through 2000. He also founded J Records, serving as the company’s chair and CEO. Between 2002 and 2008, Davis also served as the chair and CEO of the RCA Music Group, before stepping into the role of the chief creative officer of Sony Music Entertainment (a title he still holds to this day).

Davis is responsible for signing a number of A-list performers, including Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Bay City Rollers, Sly and the Family Stone and Ace of Base, among others.

Lucasfilm Pays Tribute to ‘Star Wars’ Editor Marcia Lucas

Lucasfilm has posted a statement mourning the death of Marcia Lucas, George Lucas‘ former wife who was one of three to share an Oscar for editing “Star Wars.”

The editor of iconic ’70s films including “Taxi Driver” died Wednesday in Rancho Mirage, Calif following a battle with metastatic cancer. She was 80.

“Lucasfilm was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Marcia Lucas. The 80-year-old was one of the three editors to take home an Oscar for 1977’s ‘Star Wars: A New Hope,’” the statement said.

It continued, “After Lucasfilm’s establishment in 1971, production began on George Lucas’ newest feature film, ‘American Graffiti’ (1973). Marcia Lucas joined her mentor Verna Fields as editor of the film, for which the pair received an Oscar nomination. Marcia then worked for director Martin Scorsese on ‘Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’ (1974) and ‘Taxi Driver’ (1976) as Lucasfilm readied ‘Star Wars: A New Hope.’

“As the film entered post-production, George Lucas found that a near total restart was required, and Richard Chew and Paul Hirsch joined the editorial team with Marcia, who eventually departed to work on Scorsese’s ‘New York, New York’ (1977). Along with Chew and Hirsch, she would go on to win the Oscar for ‘Star Wars’ in 1978.

“In succeeding years, Marcia contributed to other Lucasfilm productions, including ‘More American Graffiti’ (1979), ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ (1980), and ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’ (1983), among others.

“’I love film editing,’ Marcia once told a reporter. ‘I have an innate ability to take good material and make it better, and to take bad material and make it fair.’

“Lucasfilm joins the global filmmaking community in mourning the loss of Marcia Lucas.”

Marcia Lucas’ family also issued a statement, saying, “Her work was known for its emotional intelligence, rhythm, and humanity — a rare ability to find the truth of a scene and bring heart, momentum, and clarity to the screen.”

YouTuber banned from Six Flags for eating chicken nuggets

After eating a lot of fast food, some of it on roller coasters, YouTuber Allen Ferrell has been banned by Six Flags from all of its amusement parks nationwide. For life.

McDonald’s chicken nuggets were apparently an ultra-processed food item too far for the folks at Six Flags’ Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

“This guest has been banned from all Six Flags parks for life,” a Cedar Point spokesman explained in an email Thursday to Cleveland TV station WKYC. “Safety is a cornerstone of our business and we have zero tolerance for inappropriate and unsafe behavior.”

Zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior? Zero? Where’s the fun in that?

“Our ride safety policy strictly prohibits all loose articles on rides, including food which can become a choking hazard,” the spokesperson continued.

“I had no idea that eating a 10-piece chicken nugget on a roller coaster would be a national headline, but here we are,” Ferrell told Fox 8 News in Cleveland.

He said he gets the park’s point with the ban, even though he’s been going there since he was a kid and is a huge fan of the operation.

“I understand. And we kind of worked it out,” he told Fox 8 News. “They just don’t want other people getting hurt on the ride. But me personally, it was a really fun challenge.”

Ferrell’s shtick on social media is accepting challenges from his followers and then taping himself attempting to do what they propose. Eat a McDonald’s Big Mac inside a Burger King. Throw a plunger at a Target sign. Bowl blindfolded until he gets a strike.

“If anyone asks,” Ferrell tells one apparently bored ride operator in the video that documented this particular coaster crime, “I do not have chicken nuggets in my underwear.”

Ferrell decided to try the challenge on the park’s Millennium Force ride, a “looming giant amongst a park full of them,” a coaster that was “designed for the purpose of proving bigger is better.” A roller coaster that when it was created in 2000 “demanded an all-new category just to classify its one of a kind nature,” giving rise to the “giga-coaster.” According to Cedar Point, as all of this verbiage is, Millennium Force “shoots riders over hills, past lagoons and through tunnels, all at unthinkable speeds.”

The ride actually tops out at 93 mph, a speed often thought about on freeways in the Los Angeles area when traffic is going 8 mph. It’s quite thinkable to eat fast food in a car in L.A. But it turns out what was really unthinkable was Ferrell getting all 10 nuggets down the hatch before the Six Flags ride was over.

In the video, which had almost 800,000 views on YouTube as of Friday afternoon, he morphs from happy snacking dude to dude moaning in discomfort, struggling to shove nuggets in his mouth while unintentionally applying dipping sauce to his face via G-force.

“Oh, I failed,” Ferrell says, wiping off the face-sauce as the coaster pulls up to the platform and someone in line blurts, “Are those chicken nuggets?”

Turns out he snarfed seven of them, he confesses to the two guys in front of him in the coaster car. Ferrell said later that he was glad to be in the back row because it meant nobody behind him got sauced.

That said, watching the sweet-and-sour sauce flying in slow motion is actually quite amusing. But eating nuggets that have been in one’s underwear?

The perma-ban sounds like the least of his problems.

New Marvel VisionQuest Trailer Features 1 Clever Loki Disney+ Connection (Footage Description)

Few Marvel Studios projects have as much intrigue surrounding them as VisionQuest. What at first sounded like a straightforward sequel to WandaVision has evolved into something totally different. That’s because the upcoming Disney+ series will feature the return of numerous MCU characters, including a few that were introduced as far back as Iron Man in 2008.

At the end of the day, though, Ultron, JARVIS, FRIDAY, and the rest of VisionQuest‘s cast have connections to the titular android, making their puzzle pieces fit at least somewhat snugly. But another piece has revealed itself that needs a more thorough examination, as it connects the Paul Bettany-led series to a different Disney+ show, Loki.

Disney’s presentation at the 2026 TV Upfronts put VisionQuest front and center, since it’s the next live-action show up for Marvel Studios. Bettany took the stage and didn’t come empty-handed, showing off footage from his first MCU solo outing (via Casey Loving). The clip revealed a new look for James Spader’s Ultron, as well as what many theorized to be a grown-up Tommy Maximoff.

While all that sounds very interesting, the most fascinating portion of the first look featured Vision watching clips from other MCU projects. He witnessed another version of himself fighting as a hero, but he didn’t remember any of the events. All Vision could do was watch as his former life played out on a screen.

If that setup sounds familiar, it’s because the same thing happened to the God of Mischief, or, at least, his variant. After using the Tesseract to escape from New York City in Avengers: Endgame, Loki was captured by the Time Variance Authority and interrogated in its headquarters in the first episode of his Disney+ series.

Marvel Television

The Asgardian’s handler, Mobius, tried motivating his new pal by showing him a highlight reel of his life in the MCU. At first, it wasn’t all bad because he saw himself bury the hatchet with his brother, Thor, and turn over a new leaf. However, the vibe changed when the villain watched Thanos choke the life out of his variant.

Like Loki, Vision is going to have to wrap his head around dying at the hands of the Mad Titan. And that might not be where the connections between the two characters end, as VisionQuest could offer its titular character the same road to redemption that Loki offered to its protagonist.

Vision Is In Desperate Need Of A Rebirth In His Disney+ Solo Series

White Vision looking shocked at WandaVision. — Marvel Television

Of course, the Vision that will lead VisionQuest isn’t the one that fought alongside the Avengers. After the events of Infinity War, the government agency SWORD got its hands on Vision’s body and began poking and prodding it. But none of SWORD’s scientists could reactivate the android, and the project was put on ice after Wanda Maximoff came knocking and tore apart the laboratory.

Toward the end of WandaVision, SWORD realized it could use Chaos Magic to bring Vision back, so it did just that. The new Vision, aptly dubbed White Vision, quickly embraced its sole directive – killing Wanda – and found itself fighting a projection of itself.

The two traded blows until it came time to trade words. And the fake Vision won that battle because it messed with White Vision’s mind so badly that it fled Westview, abandoning its mission. VisionQuest will seemingly pick up right after that, focusing on White Vision’s search for a new purpose.

While the MCU could take the character in any number of directions, including turning him into the monster Ultron originally intended him to be, that would be too easy. The real challenge would be giving him an arc similar to Loki’s, where his heart is in the right place, but he doesn’t always know how to control his worst impulses.

Even in Loki Season 2, when the God of Mischief was all about saving people rather than killing them, he still dished out his fair share of pain, such as when he terrorized a rogue TVA agent using his powers to get information. The MCU loves to throw characters into a gray area, and Vision could be the latest addition to the franchise’s anti-hero ranks.

And it’s not like there isn’t precedent for this in the source material. When Vision returned as a member of the West Coast Avengers in the late ’80s, he lost all his emotions and operated as a cold, calculated vigilante. Vision’s teammates probably weren’t on board with his extreme methods, but he got results.

If Marvel Studios wants VisionQuest to be more than a limited series and for fans to embrace this new version of the character, it will have to follow in the comics’ footsteps. And the timing works out because Bettany has an opening for a juicy role that goes to dark places, since another Disney+ series, Maul: Shadow Lord, handed Dryden Vos over to another actor.

Best Fish Game Gambling Sites 2026 - Real Money Fish Casinos

Συναντάς χιλιάδες επιλογές από μεγάλα brands: NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Evolution.

MAGIC: THE GATHERING’s Felix the Cat Cards Are Unhinged

Games

For a cartoon character who’s over 100 years old, Felix the Cat is surprisingly weird and edgy. The black-and-white kitty and his Magic Bag of Tricks have gone on some wild adventures over the years. Once he hit the public domain in the ’90s, he even went fully surreal in the short-lived animated series The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat. That was a formative series for my tiny mind. Now, the wonderful, wonderful cat returns in a suitably magical way. Wizards of the Coast announced Secret Lair x Felix the Cat: Magic Bag of Tricks, the latest Magic: The Gathering collaboration.

Wizards of the Coast

“Felix the Cat is iconic with a rich history of surrealism that is the perfect metaphor for how we evolve visual boundaries for Magic through Secret Lair,” said Secret Lair Senior Director Lindsey Bartell. “So naturally we would want him to be a part of the Cats Are the Best Superdrop. We were so proud to be able to accomplish this in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences and bring together Magic and Felix in such a unique and special way.”

The resulting cards are gloriously exaggerated and somewhat creepy. Take a look at all the unhinged new cards below. Whoever thought to turn Felix into a Barrowgoyf is a diabolical genius.

Secret Lair x Felix the Cat: Magic Bag of Tricks includes

1x Future Sight, 1x Time Stretch, 1x Feral Felix, 1x Throes of Chaos, 1x Mind’s Eye
Price: Non-Foil: $29.99 USD, Foil: $39.99 USD

Felix fans can find this collection as part of the Cats Are the Best Superdrop starting at 9 a.m. PT on June 15. Find more information at the Secret Lair Website.

Fable has been delayed to 2027

Fable has been delayed until February 2027, Microsoft has announced.

In a social post from the official Xbox account, the company said that it had made the decision so that Fable can have “the dedicated moment it deserves”, which is likely in reference to GTA 6’s launch later this year.

“This is year is packed with incredible games for Xbox players to enjoy, from Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 to Control Resonant, Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Grand Theft Auto VI,” it wrote.

“In order to plan our game launches through the holidays, in a way that works best for players, we’re moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves. We’re excited to be giving players a major new look at Fable, as well as our broader lineup, at Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.”

Matt Booty, Chief content officer at Xbox, claimed in a new video posted to the Xbox YouTube channel that, despite the delay, the game is in “great shape.”

“The team feels really good. We’re excited about where the game is. We want to make sure that the game has a window all to its own.”

While Fable didn’t have an exact release date announced, Microsoft had said that the game was planned for 2026. It was speculated that the game could be released in August.

Xbox and Playground Games debuted the first deep dive into Fable, which is confirmed for release on Xbox, PC (including Steam), and PlayStation 5, in February.

Game director Ralph Fulton said at the time: “Fable is Playground’s first open-world action RPG, and we couldn’t be more proud to be carrying on the work of the legendary Lionhead Studios, the original creators of the franchise.

“And although our game is a new beginning, I think what we’re making is really faithful to the spirit of the classic Lionhead trilogy that we all love.”

Instellingen Verbeterd HadesBet Casino Breidt Opties Uit

Goat Spins Crypto Casino Offers a 45 Free Spin No Deposit Bonus Just ...

Geavanceerde Verantwoord Gokken Mechanismen

That Time When Bruce Springsteen Made a Memorable Cameo in a 2000s Rom-Com Film

There are lots of cameos I love in movies. Whether it’s Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder or Bill Murray in Zombieland, they can elevate movies and catch the audience by surprise.

But every now and then, a filmmaker uses a celebrity cameo to push the protagonist forward. To really ingrain themselves in the heart of the story and pull out those deep themes for us to celebrate.

Enter Stephen Frears’ 2000 cult classic rom-com, High Fidelity.

The movie is based on the Nick Hornby novel; it’s rife with record-store cynicism and the absolute agony of romantic rejection.

John Cusack plays Rob Gordon, a man-child music nerd who copes with his latest breakup by analyzing his “Top Five Most Memorable Heartbreaks.”

But in the middle of his existential crisis, Rob gets a pep talk from none other than The Boss.

Let’s dive in.

– YouTube www.youtube.com

The Springsteen Scene

If you haven’t seen the film in a while, let’s paint the picture. Rob is lying in bed, wallowing, and wishing he could get some clarity on his romantic failures.

Suddenly, the frame shifts, and we see Bruce Springsteen sitting on a chair in the corner of Rob’s bedroom, casually strumming his Fender Telecaster.

It’s not a dream…ot’s kind of an alternate reality in the lead character’s head.

Springsteen talks directly to Rob, offering some gravelly, poetic advice on how to handle his exes.

It’s the perfect look into Rob’s mind and how he uses music to calm his worries and also increase his anxieties.

Now, as a screenwriter, I can tell you there has to be a ton of pressure on you not to make this scene seem hokey or goofy.

So, why does it work so beautifully in High Fidelity?

It’s an Externalization of Rob’s Internal Monologue

As screenwriters, our biggest challenge is finding ways to externalize internal thoughts without relying solely on tedious voiceover.

While High Fidelity uses a lot of direct-to-camera address, the Springsteen cameo elevates this idea and doesn’t feel like exposition because it’s delivered by a new character. This is advice from the authority on longing.

The Directing Choices Maintain the Magic Realism

Director Stephen Frears and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey don’t treat Bruce’s appearance like a massive spectacle or spooky entrance. The lighting stays moody and natural to the bedroom setting.

The camera pans casually from Cusack to Springsteen as if this is a completely normal Tuesday night. We understand that Rob’s imagination is also kind of his reality. And we’re forced to accept it.

Summing It All Up

The next time you’re writing a script and thinking about dropping a surreal moment or a cameo into an otherwise grounded story, ask yourself what makes it new and cool.

That sounds kind of basic, but it really does wind up mattering in terms of making your story stand out. This usage of Springsteen is perfect because it captures his ethos and fits so nicely in with the movie, which is kind of about how our fantasy worlds can ruin reality.

What’s your favorite film cameo in history?

Does High Fidelity make your Top Five?
