Paramount+ set to premiere 11 Minutes on anniversary of shooting

Paramount+ set to premiere new 4-part series called 11 minutes about the shooting that took place during a concert on September 27 of last year.

Like Any Other Concert…

When a musician takes centre-stage to perform in front of fans they get to witness the ebb and flow of an adoring crowd. That is a feeling reserved for only a select set of musicians. As any live music concert-goer knows, a special electricity fills the air and for a moment everyone feels as one, as all fans sing the same songs and feel the same emotions. This is the power of music, as it spreads pure joy. It was no different for the folks who attended the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Until the shooting started…

Those eleven fateful minutes of gunfire resulted in 58 deaths and more than 800 injured.  Subsequently, another shared phenomenon unfolded.  One of courage, sacrifice, strength, and bravery; the acts of remarkable heroism visited upon the injured.  Strangers helping strangers, amidst unimaginable terror.

On Tuesday September 27…

Marking the week of the fifth anniversary of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, Paramount+ will premiere a four-part documentary, “11 MINUTES.”  Using archival footage, 200 hours of cell phone video, and the firsthand accounts of concert-goers, police officers and trauma teams, 11 MINUTES provides an intimate view of what happened.  Viewers will also witness what it was like for the officers on a hair-raising mission as they approach the shooter’s room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.  This story is one of tragedy, but it is also a story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help others.  It is a story of survival, of sacrifice and the indomitable human spirit.

11 MINUTES is directed by Jeff Zimbalist, executive producers are Stu Schreiberg, Jeff Zimbalist and Ashley Hoff. Co-executive producer is Jess Philipps. Supervising producer is Sarah Longden, co-producer is Alana Saad.  11 MINUTES is produced by Triage Entertainment, All Rise Films, Third Force Productions and See It Now Studios.
