Meghan Markle is in Germany at the Invictus Games with husband Prince Harry but without her engagement ring. And it’s not because they’re totally getting divorced or that he’s buying her a bigger diamond because she’s so greedy, like the rumor mill might have you believe. It’s being repaired.
The three-stone stunner, which features two diamonds from the late Princess Diana’s jewelry collection, is currently being serviced because a setting came loose, People “understands,” which is to say, none of this merits a comment but the tabloids can go ahead and put their “DIVORCE ALERT” headlines away. Back to Meghan Markle: Though she’s not wearing her engagement ring right this very second (also, what married woman in her 40s wears her engagement ring every day?), she has been wearing some pretty fire ’fits lately. And yes, I said fire ’fits.
Last month she showed off her typically neutral tones style in a cashmere scarf and camel coat. Days later, she stepped out for a girls lunch wearing a very special necklace. She followed Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour dress code not once but twice, first with her husband and then with fellow baddies Kerry Washington and Kelly Rowland. When she got on a plane to Germany? Chic! At the Invictus Games? So chic she broke the Internet (well, the J.Crew site). Later on, she put her hair up in a Pam Anderson bun. And she made these moves while wearing, and also while not wearing, her engagement ring. Women really can do it all.
