Did Justin Bieber Break Up With Taylor Swift’s Arch-Nemesis Scooter Braun?

Don’t expect a new breakup hit from Justin Bieber anytime soon. It turns out there may not be much to the rumors that the 29-year-old pop star split from longtime manager Scooter Braun.

According to a new Puck report published on August 18, Bieber and Braun allegedly “haven’t spoken in months” despite their 16-year history. Braun has been with Bieber since the beginning of his career after discovering the “Baby” singer in 2007. Now, Puck claims Bieber is taking his business to Britney Spears’ ex-business manager Lou Taylor and that “lawyers are involved.”

However, Us Weekly reports that reps for both parties have denied the report, telling the publication, “This is not true.” If something did go down between Bieber and Braun, clearly it wasn’t too late now to say sorry.

A split like this would definitely come as a shock to music buffs, though you’re probably more used to hearing Braun’s name in connection with Taylor Swift. He is, after all, the entire reason the “Anti-Hero” singer has been re-recording her first six albums over the course of the past few years. Back in 2019, Taylor Swift’s former label, Big Machine Records (run by Scott Borchetta), sold the master recordings of her first six albums to Braun without consulting Swift or giving her the opportunity to buy them herself. At the time, Swift described the sale as her “worst-case scenario” in an emotional Tumblr post.

“All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years,” Swift wrote, also calling out Bieber for allegedly participating in Braun’s bullying. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

At the time, Justin Bieber apologized for posting the “hurtful Instagram post” Swift referenced in her statement but vehemently defended Braun, describing his manager as “someone I love.”
