For some, Christmas is all about romance and being with that special someone. Just Friends takes that idea and flips it on its head.
Released in 2005, the film follows the idea of “just friends” with Chris and Jamie being best friends in high school. After Chris moves away and essentially makes over his entire life, the two meet again after Chris ends up getting embroiled in his client’s hijinks. The film is basically a highlight reel of the shenanigans Chris gets into and his friendship rekindling with Jamie along with their eventual relationship.
While the film is known for being incredibly funny and at times, romantic, Just Friends has an amazing cast. Chris is played by Ryan Reynolds while Jamie is played by Amy Smart. Some of the supporting players include Anna Faris, Chris Klein, and Chris Marquette.
For some reason, Just Friends ends up getting lost in the shuffle of other popular Christmas movies. If you’re looking to rewatch the flick or watch it for the first time, you’ll want to know where it’s streaming.
Where is Just Friends streaming online in 2022?
If you’re looking to watch Just Friends this holiday season, then you’re in luck as it’s streaming on Peacock in 2022. When it comes to Christmas movies, this is one I usually revisit every year as it’s just so dang funny. I’m not sure if it’s the amazing cast on the whole or just Ryan Reynolds being himself.
That’s not to say that the film doesn’t have its issues as some of it focuses on Chris when he’s fat and Jamie not wanting to be with him. There are also a few questionable scenes with Samantha, Chris’ client but aside from that, this film is really a product of its time yet it’s still a delight.
If you haven’t watched Just Friends before now or if you’re looking to revisit it, then all you have to do is either go to your Peacock account or find someone who is willing to let you use theirs. Either way, Just Friends needs to be on your Christmas wishlist this year especially if you liked watching Ryan Reynolds in Spirited and want some more Ryan Reynolds Christmas goodness.
