Teen Wolf fans were thrilled to hear the show was coming back as a movie for Paramount+. The original series ended in 2017 on MTV, with Scott McCall and his Pack striving to find and save werewolves. The show’s ending suggested the adventure would continue off-screen but delivered a solid conclusion for its central characters.
Years later, the trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie has dropped, revealing various faces and names familiar to the Teen Wolf franchise. However, as many of the original cast members had been confirmed to return already, it was not necessarily a shock to see them in the trailer. More surprising was the return of the fan-favorite villain, the Nogitsune.
However, given Stiles and Kira will be absent from Teen Wolf: The Movie and had been so integral to the Nogitsune plot, the film could take several directions with this antagonist and how it connects to Allison Argent’s somewhat miraculous return if she is indeed alive at all.
The revival movie does not hide that it has been years since the end of the series, and instead, the trailer shows the film thrives on delivering a more adult side of these characters, seemingly facing the old traumas of their youth.
What will it be like for Scott and Lydia to return to Beacon Hills, especially as Scott reveals he has not been back in years? What are everyone’s lives like years later? This group of people went through fire together, and, for the most part, many made it out to the other side.
However, Allison’s return, especially with the Nogitsune coming back, is bound to bring up old trauma and fears. However, although Teen Wolf: The Movie is bringing back beloved elements such as Stiles’ Jeep and introducing new characters, can Teen Wolf: The Movie escape Stiles and Kira’s shadows as it relies on the Nogitsune as a potential central villain?
Still, the trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie brings back familiar faces, locations, and a sense of danger. Will everyone make it out alive?
Teen Wolf: The Movie will be available to stream on Paramount+ on January 26, 2023.
