The Bear Season 2 To Premiere In June, New Teaser Reveals – Deadline

FX’s The Bear is returning to Hulu in June. The premiere month was revealed in a Season 2 teaser during Sunday’s 95th annual Academy Awards, though an exact date is being kept under wraps for now.

The teaser hints at a rebirth for The Original Beef of Chicagoland, the iconic family run restaurant at the center of the story. At the end of Season 1, Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmy closed The Beef to open a new restaurant.

“It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth,” reads FX’s caption for the short trailer. Watch the clip above.

The Bear follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff, and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide.

Season 2 will increase from 8 episodes to 10. It stars White alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas.

The series was created by Christopher Storer, who also serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, and Nate Matteson of Super Frog and Josh Senior, with Tyson Bidner serving as producer and Matty Matheson as co-producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.

Series star White recently earned a Golden Globe for Best Actor In a TV Comedy Series for his portrayal of Carmy.
