Taylor Swift is changing the music world once again

If there is one artist we all can’t get enough of, it’s Taylor Swift. Swift has managed to reinvent herself and her career constantly.

Most notably, her latest release, Midnights looks to be another change of pace for Swift and for us as her fans. Even amidst her re-recordings, it feels like we’re introduced to an entirely new artist and it’s fascinating.

Of all the current artists out there, Taylor Swift is breaking the mold again and again. Before the release of Midnights though, we have to talk about how excellent the marketing has been for both her and her fans as a whole.

Taylor Swift once again changes the game for fans and other artists with her upcoming release.

Taylor Swift has managed to up the game again for other musical artists.

Let’s start off by talking about Taylor and her Tiktoks. Taylor used TikTok to share the entire tracklist of Midnights. For those who could stay up until midnight, it was a treat but still as sweet the next morning for those of us who couldn’t. That wasn’t the only tactic Taylor used for this album, though.

If that wasn’t enough, Taylor decided to partner with Spotify to share lyrics from songs on their billboards around the world. Currently, two billboards have been discovered. One was in New York City while the other was in London. Considering that those are two important locations to Taylor, those shouldn’t come as a surprise. Aside from those marketing tactics, Swift also shared her upcoming schedule of events and releases for Midnights on Instagram.

As someone who is a Taylor Swift fan, it feels like an embarrassment of riches, especially after the secrecy about her previous releases. While it does raise the bar for other artists, I do feel like this is also exclusively a Taylor thing. Swift prides herself on being close to her fans and this type of marketing works in that regard.

For other artists, a similar tactic might work but none will be as effective as the original. If anything, this album and the marketing around it prove just how much of a genius Taylor Swift is. As someone who has loved almost all of her albums and is excited for Midnights, I’m just curious to see how she’s going to top herself.

While it’s unclear if artists will try to replicate the success Swift has had, it’s obvious the marketing for new albums is changing. Swift is just helping to usher something new for those who are already famous or on the cusp. Personally, I hope she decides to do something similar with her next re-recording project.

Regardless, I know I’ll be listening to Midnights when I get up, and hopefully, it’ll be every bit as glorious as Taylor Swift made it out to be. For me, there’s no way this album is going to be bad so I’m just hoping that this album will clear my skin, make me love myself, and do everything a good Taylor Swift album does.
