Think back to 2007 and you’ll remember just how huge the Jonas Brothers were. Of course, that’s in the wake of the release of the band’s self-titled effort.
While the Jonas Brothers are known for other hits in their massive discography, the band captured many hearts with the Jonas Brothers album. I mean I’m not ashamed to say that the brothers captured my heart with that album and I haven’t looked back since. Maybe my wallet wishes I would have but that’s a conversation for another day.
This was the first album released under Hollywood Records and would help to jumpstart the band’s career. It’s also the start of their Disney days and is one a lot of us look back on in fondness. The album cover was iconic, especially with all the gold on it and the black-and-white pictures of the boys.
The album ended up with 4 singles including “Year 3000,” “Hold On,” “S.O.S” and “When You Look Me in the Eyes.” Considering all the absolute bangers on this album, I knew this was going to be difficult but let’s get into it before the job gets even harder.
Coming in at #4 is a single from the previous Jonas Brothers album.
4. “Year 3000”
I swear to goodness, I don’t hate “Year 3000” by the Jonas Brothers. Within these past two single rankings though, it ended up at the bottom. That’s not to say that “Year 3000” is a bad song. On the contrary, it’s a great song but just not as amazing as the other singles from the Jonas Brothers’ self-titled album.
This one always gets the party going and gets fans excited. It’s also one that a lot of people discovered the Jonas Brothers because of it. Due to that, a lot of people have such nostalgic feelings towards it. Plus it’s a great one to dance and sing to while you’re seeing them in concert along with just being an incredibly recognizable song of theirs.
Despite that, it’s at the bottom just because the other singles from self-titled managed to edge it out. We also need to give Busted credit for writing such a catchy and long-lasting song that it spanned multiple albums and an eventual remix for them and the Jonas Brothers.
