When the first Fast and The Furious film premiered in 2001, no one could have guessed that this would end up becoming one of the most successful franchises in the film industry. Now with “Fast X“, the final film in the franchise on the horizon, the success of the series continues to grow. It is Universal’s biggest franchise and the eighth highest-grossing film series, with a combined gross of over $6 billion.
The premiere of ‘Fast X’ brings the addition of even more A list actors to the franchise, including 2 Oscar Winning actresses. Here are the new faces who will be joining the family in ‘Fast X’.
Jason Momoa as Dante

Jason Momoa is no stranger to action films and shows, following in the tradition of hiring the biggest baddest actors in Hollwood to join the Fast Family, it only made sense that Momoa would be next. In the fifth film in the frachise, Fast Five, Dom’s crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes by driving his safe through the city of Rio de Janeiro, Momoa plays his son Dante who has spent the last 12 years hell bent on revenge, masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price. With every Fast film the villains just get badder, but could Dante finally be the one who destroys the thing Dom holds the most dear, family?
Brie Larson as Tess

Oscar Winning actress Brie Larson, best known for her roles in “Room”, “Short Term 12” and “Captain Marvel” will play rogue a representative from the Agency named Tess. She looks to be on the side of the Torettos, so far but her character is still a mystery, however Vin Diesel did reveal that her role will “add something you might not have expected but yearned for.”
Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto
The Toretto family just got bigger. In this film we will be introduced to Dom and Mia’s grandmother, played by the iconic 91 year old Rita Moreno, EGOT recipient best known for her roles in on West Side Story, Singin’ in the Rain, The King and I, Oz and One Day at a Time. She brings the tally of Oscar recipients in the franchise to 4 (with Larson, Theron and Mirren).
Alan Richtson as Aimes

Alan Richtson who stars in “Reacher” on Amazon Prime will be the new head of the Agency, Aimes, who doesn’t seem to hold the same fondness for Dom’s crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody did. Which may explain why in the trailer we see him shooting at Dom at one point.
Leo Abelo Perry as Little Brian

Dom’s 8 year old son Brian Marcos aka little Brian will be played by Leo Abelo Perry who starred in last year’s reboot of Cheaper by the Dozen on Disney+. Unfortunately for him and Dom, Brian is is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.

Daniela Melchior from The Suicide Squad appears as a Brazilian street racer with a powerful tie to Dom’s past.
Returning to their reccuring roles in the franchise are Vin Diesel as Dominic “Dom” Toretto, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, Sung Kang as Han Lue, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Charlize Theron as Cipher, Scott Eastwood as Eric Reisner, Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw and Helen Mirren as Magdalene “Queenie” Ellmanson-Shaw.
Returning from “F9: The Fast Saga” are John Cena as Jakob Toretto, Michael Rooker as Buddy and Cardi B as Leysa.
The film’s storyline sees Dante’s plot scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his son Dante’s main target.
When the franchise first began, it was a simple movie about street racing and an undercover agent. We have seen so much happen down the line, and so many big names join the franchise. It all comes down to this one last ride.
