From being lost in New York to being cemented in Hollywood history. Macaulay Culkin was honored on Friday the 1st of December 2023 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received the 2,765th on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Culkin is best known for his cultural impact playing Kevin McCallister in the 1990s films “Home Alone” and “Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.” He also starred in “Uncle Buck,” ”My Girl,” “The Good Son,” Jacobs Ladder” and “Richie Rich.” Most recently he starred in FX’s “American Horror Story: Season 10” and HBO Max’s “The Righteous Gemstones.”
At the ceremony was his fiance Brenda song and their 2 children. He was honored by his movie mother Catherine O’Hara (who didn’t forget Kevin this time) in a speech that moved Culkin to tears.
“Home Alone was, is and always will be a beloved global sensation … the reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together is because of Macaulay Culkin.” She said

As she concluded her speech se went on to say “Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone — not once, but twice — to share in this happy occasion. I’m so proud of you.” Natasha Lyonne also spoke at the ceremony.
During Culkin’s speech he tearfully thanked O’Hara for her “kind words” and her stories. He then went on to say “You made my kids’ dad, their papa, look good. And the most important thing to me is also that their papa understands that he wasn’t always his papa; he used to be a kid too, you know?” He also thanked his agents for helping guide his career since he was a child star.
And lastly, he moved on to thank his fiance Brenda Song. The two have been together since 2017. He went on to say “I’d like to thank Brenda. You’re absolutely everything. You’re my champion, you’re the only person happier for me today than I am.

While getting emotional, Culkin went on to talk about how Song is the best person he’s ever known. “You’ve given me, just, all my purpose, you’ve given me family.” Emotions were high as Brenda Song had tears welling up in her eyes. “And after the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people. You’re somewhere in there.”
In true Home Alone fashion, Macaulay Culkin ended his speech with the iconic line he said in his movie, “Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.”
