Everything We Know About the New Season of ABC’s The Bachelorette with Charity Lawson

The upcoming season of The Bachelorette is a big one for two reasons in particular. For one, it marks the 20th installment of the franchise, originally established in 2003 with Trista Sutter (nee Rehn) as the lead. And two, it marks the first time that Bachelor—and Bachelorette—creator Mike Fleiss won’t be involved. (The controversial producer left the franchise just as filming was getting started for the new season of The Bachelorette).

As for what all of that means for the upcoming season, it’s too soon to tell, but what we do know is that child and family therapist, Charity Lawson—last seen on Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor—will take the reins this summer.

Ahead of the June premiere, we take a look at everything we know about the upcoming season. Read on.

Zach decided to visit the hometowns of Kaity, Charity, Gabi and Ariel, but he eliminated Lawson in the following rose ceremony.

When will the new season of The Bachelorette air?

The 20th season of the reality juggernaut, hosted by former Bachelor star Jesse Palmer, will premiere on Monday, June 26 on ABC, and stream the next day on Hulu. However, instead of airing in its traditional 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT time slot, The Bachelorette will air an hour later, from 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT until 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT. The lead-in will be Claim to Fame, co-hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas.

Most likely, the new season of The Bachelorette will air through August. Bachelor in Paradise will air this fall, but ABC hasn’t revealed a specific date, other than Tuesdays from 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT to 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT.

Who is the new Bachelorette?

Charity Lawson, who was eliminated after her hometown date on Shallcross’s season. She is 27-years-old (she turns 28 on December 30) and hails from Columbus, Georgia. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Auburn University.
