The YouTube channel counter656 recently released a fantastic stop motion animated version of the original opening for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This is so well done, I absolutely love it. Part of what makes this video so amazing is that animators Willy Shih, Thomas Cyue, and Mickey Lee seem to have figures of all the characters and Steven Chen who was in charge of props and sets helped them get creative.
When Rita Repulsa is freed, her generals do not include Goldar, Baboo, Squat, and Finster, but rather Predator, Michael Jackson, Bowser, and Harley Quinn. Also, Bulk and Skull have been replaced with Fat Thor and Loki. The video was produced by John Huang and the VFX team comprised Shih, Cyue, Lee, and Yinrou Huang. Enjoy!
