Oscar nominated actor Adam Driver, who is known for his multitude of different roles and his versatility onscreen has had a very busy year, and things are about to get even more interesting for the talented actor in 2023. Adam who is best known for his roles in HBO’s Girls, playing Kylo Ren in the Star Wars franchise, House of Gucci, his Oscar nominated performances in Marriage Story and Blackkklansman and much more has some interesting projects lined up in the coming months.
Adam Driver has been nominated for a Golden Glode for his role in Noah Baumbach’s disaster movie, White Noise. “White Noise” received a three-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival with big cheers for Driver in particular. Adam Driver has been receiving praise from critics for his performance in the film. The film is a satirical take on the acclaimed 1985 novel of the same name by Don DeLillo. Driver plays professor Jack Gladney alongside Greta Gerwig. Their suburban life is upended when a nearby chemical leak causes “The Airborne Toxic Event,” releasing a noxious black cloud over the region that forces the Gladney family to evacuate.
White Noise is in in select theaters now and hits Netflix on December 30th.
If you thought Adam Driver was done with space, you were wrong. In the film 65, a science fiction thriller from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the duo that wrote the script for “The Quiet Place”, with Spider-Man’s Sam Raimi as a producer, Driver takes on the SciFi genre once again in a role like we’ve never seen him before.
The film’s official synopsis reads, “After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s stranded on Earth… 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.”

Driver is known for his dramatic roles, it has been a while since he was last in an action packed scifi film. Which is part of what makes this film so exciting for fans.
65 is scheduled to be released on March 10th, 2023.
And what’s a successful Adam Driver year without him taking on a biopic? Once again Driver will be bringing a true story to life. And once again It’s a member of a rich Italian family. This time, he will play racecar driver Enzo Ferrari in the biopic “Ferrari” about his lifestory, directed by Michael Mann.

According to the film’s official synopsis “‘Ferrari’ is set during the summer of 1957. Ex-racecar driver Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura (Penelope Cruz), built from nothing 10 years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for one son and the acknowledgement of another. He decides to counter his losses by rolling the dice on one race – 1,000 miles across Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia.”
This will be a transformative role for Driver as Ferrari will be around 59 years old in the film, whereas Driver is currently 39. The film is slated for a 2023 release.
In 2021 alone we got 3 new films Annette, The Last Duel, and House of Gucci, whereas in 2022 we saw only White Noise, Adam Driver has delivered a lot of great performances over the years, next year with 2 more new films coming up, that shouldn’t change anytime soon.
