Zenless Zone Zero had its spot during the Tokyo Game Show 2023 in a showcase that ended with a hint of a new platform in which the urban Action RPG is set to be released. According to the snippet, the game will be released on Consoles, PC, and Mobile devices. However, while the specific consoles weren’t announced, we might have already seen the hint of a PlayStation release in the pipeline.
Gematsu spotted this information after it covered the Zenless Zone Zero Special Program at the Tokyo Game Show 2023. In it, Yuka Iguchi and Yumi Igarashi gave players an in-depth understanding of the worldview of New Eridu and provided some looks at the city and character designs. This was also the spot in which the console release was hinted at at the end of the program.
However, not long after the TGS trailer was dropped, Gematsu pointed out that in the game’s Gamescom trailer, there were hints that Zenless Zone Zero would be released on PlayStation. As such, the confirmation that the game would be released on consoles will, at the very least, strongly hint towards the inclusion of a PlayStation version.
Now, whether the game will be a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 exclusive or if the game will also be released on Xbox consoles is yet to be confirmed. However, this information might be surprising for some fans and may be worth examining other Zenless Zone Zero trailers to spot any hints that may have been missed.
Zenless Zone Zero is expected to be released in 2024.
