EXCLUSIVE: Zach Roerig (The Vampire Diaries), Kayla Bohan (Harper), Scottie Thompson (NCIS) and John Littlefield (Dexter) are starring in crime-thriller Undertow.
Kate Bohan (From Embers) is writer-director on the indie feature, which wrapped filming in August, and heralds from Lyon Park Productions.
The synopsis reads: “When a teenage girl, Dakota, (Kayla Bohan) is kidnapped by a human trafficking syndicate, escaping is only half the fight; the rest is grappling with a devastating father betrayal and finding the strength to save herself.”
“With Undertow, I wanted to create a tense and emotionally powerful crime thriller that puts a young woman at the center of her own story,” said Kate Bohan. “Dakota is forced to confront danger, betrayal, and a truth about her father that changes everything. But ultimately, this is a story about finding the courage to move forward and decide who you will become.”
The film is produced by Lyon Park Productions alongside Kate Bohan and Kathleen I-Ying Lee (From Embers). The film’s ensemble was assembled by casting directors Sig De Miguel and Stephen Vincent (Clifford The Big Red Dog).
