SILVER SAMURAI
Born with the mutant power to channel energy through inanimate objects, Kenuichio Harada used those abilities to transform his sword into the ultimate blade. As the Silver Samurai, Harada defended Clan Yashida’s criminal empire, starting in his Marvel Comics debut, DAREDEVIL (1964) #111 by Steve Gerber and William Brown. Silver Samurai quickly developed a bitter grudge against Wolverine, who killed his father, the criminal Lord Shingen, and became engaged to his half-sister, Mariko Yashida.
Over the years, the Silver Samurai acted as both a criminal and a government-sponsored hero in Japan. His son, Shingen, also operated as the Silver Samurai, using several nanotech-based abilities to follow in his father’s footsteps. Following many battles with Wolverine and the X-Men, the Silver Samurai eventually found mutual respect with the man he once despised.
