I’ve been loving Season 2 of HBO’s energetic sports dramedy Winning Time. A slam dunk of ’80s basketball nostalgia, the second season centers on the historic rivalry between Magic Johnson’s Lakers and Larry Bird’s Boston Celtics, with the two future Hall of Famers set to square off in the 1984 NBA Finals. A strong cast (John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Adrien Brody, Jason Segel, Solomon Hughes, and Jason Clarke), unique cinematography, and obvious reverence for basketball combine to make Winning Time a Sunday night staple.
