Every single Taylor Swift era is iconic for different reasons. On the cusp of the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version,) there are a few major questions.
While some people are wondering about lyrics and how the songs will sound, Taylor has already given us a hint with that “Back to December” preview. Swift also recently shared a limited-time “Speak Now” collection which featured her different looks from the album and its original tour.
As awesome as the merch was, it was for a limited time only so not everyone was able to take advantage. Due to that, it would make sense that Taylor Swift would decide to do another merchandise launch right before the album release or one that comes during the album release.
Either way, it brings up the question of if certain songs will be given their own collection during this Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) era.
Will specific Speak Now songs get a merch drop in Taylor Swift’s shop?
Each time Taylor Swift releases a merch collection, it either sells out almost immediately, has a limited release, or has one item everyone is dying to have. That’s why I think it would be fun to see Taylor do something different for this re-release.
Rather than focus on the entire Speak Now album, she could have small merch drops during the week after Speak Now (Taylor’s Version.) Of course, that’s the small question of which songs would end up being the inspiration for these collections, and trust me, I’ve already thought bout it and have an entire plan in place for Taylor.
First, we have to talk about “Back to December” which is an easy one to start with. She could release hoodies, sweaters, and cardigans to go with this one. I mean it’s all about going back to December so that makes sense. I’d say it would be a more neutral palette with browns, greys, and whites. Plus it’s such a great song so it would have to be featured.
Moving onto the next song, we have to feature “Speak Now” as it is the titular track. This one would be more about t-shirts and accessories. Whether we’re talking scrunchies, bracelets, or keychains, “Speak Now” is the ideal song to do this with since it has so many great lyrics to go off of.
Keeping with the sparkly and fun theme, I decided to go with “Sparks Fly.” As a Taylor Swift fan, I feel like this song holds a special place in our hearts. With the 4th of July just passed as well, it makes a lot of sense. It’s all about the excitement in a relationship and the visual of fireworks is great for summer so I’m thinking tank tops, crop tops, and maybe, even slides.
I’m going to keep it down to 4 but I feel like I would do this with any of these songs yet I’m going with “Better than Revenge” because there is so much potential there. I’m not even going to pitch any clothes or anything here because just imagine it. This would be amazing so let’s hope Taylor Swift decides to release something related to “Better than Revenge.”
Taylor Swift always keeps up on our toes so who knows what she’ll decide to do for Speak Now before its release? Of course, I’d love to know what you think!
