The Men in Black star is set to take over the podcast world alongside big industry names like Queen Latifah. And the podcast will be related hip-hop, something which paved the star’s way in the world of glitz and glamor.

Billboard recently rolled out an exclusive report regarding Will Smith featuring in the new upcoming podcast, Class of 88. This eight-episode series will also feature Queen Latifah, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Salt-N-Pepa, Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, Chuck D, and Rakim. The Oscar winner talked to them about his new endeavor, expressing his excitement. He shared how hip-hop has played an important role in his life in the past decades. So this experience is certainly an enormous opportunity for him to sit down with some other great legends of the genre.

The 54-year-old also revealed the purpose of this podcast and added “we delve into the origins of one of the most influential genres of music in history”. The team will closely explore the pivotal year of 1988, which marked the emergence of Public Enemy, the rise of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Also, the booming success of female MCs like Salt-N-Pepa and Queen Latifah.

In a nutshell, this podcast will recall the major achievements Smith had during his music career.

Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff are the two names that rose to stardom in Hollywood, collaborating and supporting one another. The duo has given fans many memorable songs together.
