Arti Lalwani from Indian Matchmaking season 3 has become one of the most popular stars on Instagram, thanks to her charming personality and her fairytale romance with Jamal. Sima Taparia from Mumbai met Arti in Miami to help her find a match. She didn’t agree with Arti’s love for Costco and wasn’t too thrilled when she rejected two of Aunty’s matches to go on a dating app where she swiped right on a Pakistani-origin Muslim trainer. Arti and Jamal had instant chemistry, and they even went on a Costco date together.
Jamal was everything Arti wanted in Indian Matchmaking; he was motivated in his career, tall, and muscular. While Arti’s parents would’ve wanted her to marry a Sindhi man, she was fearful of what would happen when she brought a Muslim partner home. But that didn’t keep Arti and Jamal apart. Four months after the meeting, Arti accepted Jamal’s dockside proposal. Arti didn’t use Sima Aunty’s help in finding herself a husband, but she’s an Indian Matchmaking success story both on the show and in real life too.

During her Indian Matchmaking season 3 introduction, Arti admitted, “I’m a daddy’s girl,” Arti’s dad worked in the jewelry business, and was a traditional man. He passed away four months before Arti began filming the show. Arti’s father told her, “One day when you’re ready, and you find someone that’s right for you, I’ll design your ring.” Arti’s dad never got to design a ring for her, but Jamal went to great lengths to find a ring that would impress her. “My dad would be really happy if he saw this ring. I honestly wish he was here,” she said, while fighting back her tears after Jamal proposed.
Arti’s love for her dad shows through her social media posts too. In July 2021, Arti posted a throwback photo of herself with her dad, and another from what looked like a hospital bed, as she held her sick father’s hand lovingly during his final moments with her. “The last thing you ever said to me was to have more forgiveness for others.” Arti wrote in her caption. Her followers resonated with her emotional goodbye to her dad as they sent her messages of prayers and condolence.
Ever since her Indian Matchmaking season 3 debut, Arti has gained over 14.7k followers. With her account being verified with a blue check mark, Arti has been leveraging her newfound fame by turning towards Instagram influencing as a career. One of her latest posts from April 2023 shows that Arti is already getting the opportunity to do brand-sponsored videos on her Instagram, and has been doing it well too. She promoted a clinic in New Jersey called Geria Dermatology, where she got dermaplaning and HydraFacial done to hydrate, exfoliate, and rejuvenate her skin. Arti used it to get a natural glow ahead of her wedding to Jamal after the show.

While Arti is a cybersecurity compliance professional, she also has a keen interest in fashion, as her many lovely outfits on Instagram reveal. Arti said she was motivated in her “lifestyle” and wanted a man with an “edge” to match her own style. She likes “nice things,” which surely must involve a wardrobe filled with designer brands she can flaunt head-to-toe. Arti was invited to watch The Entertainers Tour show featuring Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar, who performed live. The Indian Matchmaking star wore a glamorous blue dress to the event with a dropped-down waist and golden embroidery and looked like a princess in it.
