When Is Its Disney Plus Release Date?

The Disney Plus series Percy Jackson and the Olympians is on its way to the streaming platform, with the highly anticipated TV show set to make its debut soon. But when is its release date, so viewers finally get to stream it? Here’s what you need to know.

When is Percy Jackson and the Olympians coming to Disney Plus?

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series is coming to Disney Plus in early 2024, so presumably before the end of Q2 which would mean it would be released between January–June 2024.

However, we have received no additional details about the series so far, so this date could still be delayed. A brief teaser trailer was released back in 2022 saying that the series would be “streaming soon,” but we don’t have a concrete date beyond that.

The trailer for the upcoming series can be viewed below:

What is Percy Jackson and the Olympians about?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on the series of hugely popular novels of the same name, created by Rick Riordan. The titular hero already received a film series starting in 2010, though they failed to set the world alight. This new Disney Plus series aims to be much more in line with the events of the books, with viewers of its teaser trailer already praising the similarities to Riordan’s works.

“Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is on the most dangerous quest of his life,” the series’ official synopsis reads. “With the help of a satyr and a daughter of Athena, Percy must journey across the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction — Zeus’ master bolt.”

The series will star Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, with James Bobin, Anders Engström, and Jet Wilkinson directing across the six episodes of the show’s first season.
