When Does Lies of P Come Out? – Release Date

Pinocchio is not a good boy. He doesn’t respect the elders and tells a lot of lies. Especially in his edgy dystopian Victorian iteration presented in Lies of P. This upcoming action game has yet another new take on the original Pinocchio tale, this time a little bit more violent and definitely not intended for kids. The game has been in production for quite some time now, but it now has a definitive release date.

Lies of P Official Release Date Revealed

As confirmed in the Summer Game Fest 2023, Lies of P will be released on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Steam. The game was initially planned to be released on August 1, but NEOWIZ opted to push it back a little bit for several reasons. Here’s their official statement:

“As revealed during the Summer Games Fest, we made a difficult decision to push back our initial release window to Sep 19.

We have been pushing hard towards our initial release window but had to make this difficult decision to ensure the most optimal gameplay experience by further polishing the game.

It may be a huge disappointment for our fans who have been eagerly waiting for the full release. As a little compensation, we have prepared a brand-new trailer and a playable Demo.”

While it’s definitely disappointing to wait a whole extra month for it, we know this is for the best. We’ve been seeing tons of bad releases that could possibly be avoided by giving the devs just a few more days. Broken games can definitely become good eventually (see Cyberpunk), but the first impression always lasts.

Lies of P is currently priced at $60 and is now available for pre-ordering on all platforms, offering a few special items for its official release. Various exciting announcements were made at the event, like the release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
