There’s a lot to watch this week, starting with a reality cooking show set in Tuscany, adorable animals to celebrate Earth Day, and Keri Russell as the ambassador to the United Kingdom in her new drama series, The Diplomat. Not to mention, of course, new episodes of Succession, Ted Lasso, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which are all dominating the pop-culture zeitgeist right now.
The week starts with Ciao House (think Summer House, but set in an Italian villa with a focus on pasta) on the Food Network and discovery+. It’s visually stunning, and if you have yet to book a vacation this year, let this reality series serve as inspiration.
On Tuesday, New Girl makes the move from Netflix to both Hulu and Peacock, meaning you have double the reason to relive the series. Midweek, Abbott Elementary airs its second season finale (you just know something big has to happen between Gregory and Janine).
As far as premieres go, Mrs. Davis premieres on Peacock (a show you need to see because I can’t quite possibly explain it properly here…you’ll know what I mean when you watch it) and The Diplomat bows on Netflix. There, Keri Russell takes badass to a new level, and is the exact opposite of how I’d react to being named ambassador to the United Kingdom (I’d be celebrating with every damn tea party offered to me).
Meanwhile, Friday is packed with the most adorable and poignant Earth Day offerings, thanks to AppleTV+’s Big Beasts and Nat Geo’s Secrets of the Elephants. If you call yourself an animal lover, then these two special docuseries are for you. There’s also the critically-acclaimed Judy Blume documentary, and we have an exclusive clip below. (The film, Are you There, God? It’s Me, Margaret, based on Blume’s best-selling book, premieres later this month).

Ciao House (Food Network/discovery+): Filmed on location in Italy, this eight episode series hosted by Food Network all-star chef Alex Guarnaschelli and Tuscan-born chef Gabriele Bertaccini premieres tonight. In the series, 10 up-and-coming culinary stars will embark on the journey of a lifetime to Tuscany and live together in a breathtaking villa. Hey, sign me up. There, they’ll compete against each other as individuals and in teams to prove their mastery of Italian cooking techniques and dishes. In the end, only one chef will win the grand prize: an immersive culinary education across Italy, training with renowned Italian master chefs. 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT

New Girl (Hulu/Peacock): The popular comedy series that ran for seven seasons on Fox and has most recently been available to binge on Netflix, is moving to Hulu and Peacock beginning today. Both streamers will have all 146 episodes featuring Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, and Hannah Simone. Plus, who can forget those Taylor Swift and Prince cameos?
