Apple and Skydance have unveiled the first trailer for their romantic action-adventure pic Ghosted, reuniting Knives Out stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, which is set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on April 21st.
The film from director Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) watches as salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (De Armas) — but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Amy Sedaris and Tate Donovan also star in the pic penned by the Deadpool franchise’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, as well as Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.
Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger produced alongside Evans, Jules Daly, Wernick and Reese, with Dalia Ibelhauptaité co-producing. Donald J. Lee Jr., Brian Bell and De Armas served as exec producers.
Apple TV+ released the Julianne Moore-led psychological thriller Sharper, marking the feature directorial debut of The Crown‘s Benjamin Caron, on February 17 — following its run in limited theaters via A24 beginning on the 10th. Other upcoming films from Apple include Tetris starring Black Bird‘s Taron Egerton, which world premieres at SXSW 2023; Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, which is eyeing a Cannes premiere; and the musical dramedy Flora and Son from filmmaker John Carney, which the streamer acquired out of Sundance.
