Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway is expecting her third child with her husband Adam Shulman.
The 43-year-old “Devil Wears Prada” star took to Instagram on Friday, June 19 to announce the news.
In a simple yet elegant video, the Hollywood actress shared a short video showing herself dressed in a flowing white crop top and matching maxi skirt.
In the clip, she walks towards the camera, opens her arms to reveal her growing baby bump and smiles while gently cradling her stomach.
Using the song “Baby, I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis as the soundtrack, she captioned the post: “x Baby, I’m yours x” and the understated announcement has been praised by fans for being intimate and joyful.
The baby’s due date, gender and name have not been revealed yet.
Hathaway and Shulman’s, who have been married since 2012, already share two sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack,6.
Meanwhile, just hours before the actress shared the Instagram video, photographers captured her and her baby bump while on holiday in Saint-Tropez, France, alongside Shulman, their sons and friends.
She wore a colourful bikini and later covered up with a white beach cover-up, prompting speculation before confirming the pregnancy herself.
The pregnancy announcement comes following one of Hathaway’s busiest periods as ashe has recently been promoting “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and “Mother Mary” with some of her upcoming projects including roles on “The Odyssey” and “Verity.”
Hathaway has previously spoken about how becoming a mother transformed her life.
In previous interviews, she has said motherhood made her feel more grounded and it made her gain a stronger sense of purpose.
The actress has also been candid about experiencing fertility challenges, including
when announcing her second pregnancy in 2019.
During the time, she acknowledged that conception had not been “a straight line” and expressed support for others experiencing infertility.
She has also spoken publicly about suffering a miscarriage in 2015, saying she hopes being open about her experience helps others feel less alone.
