What We Know About Justice League: Warworld So Far
Justice League: Warworld will pick up after the events of Legion of Super-Heroes, where Batman and Superman got hit by a mysterious alien energy blast. According to the official Justice League: Warworld synopsis, there will be other heroes that have been swept away to Warworld, “a place of unending brutal gladiatorial combat.” Once finding Wonder Woman and other superheroes, this leads to the rise of “an unbeatable resistance able to lead an entire planet to freedom.”
Based on the film’s summary, Justice League: Warworld seems to be the culmination point of the first batch of films DC has been doing through the Tomorrowverse. With this being their first proper Justice League movie, it feels safe to assume that the Warworld storyline will also set up their next threat through some post-credit scene. Whether that would be Darkseid or another major DC threat, the franchise has endless possibilities.
The Tomorrowverse films have been a step in the right direction for DC’s animated properties, especially as an interconnected franchise. It will be interesting to see how Justice League: Warworld sets up the next phase of animated films, as this universe is clearly just getting started. Hopefully, it won’t be long until the first Justice League: Warworld trailer gets released.
