For fans of Spider-Man, 2022’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was the ultimate cinematic event.

The film brought together three generations of Spider-Men who had previously existed in parallel universes, it was a meeting no one could have imagined they would see on screen.

In fact, the film managed to pack in characters from two decades of Spider-Man films, including both former Peter Parkers- Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

For fans who grew up watching the earlier Spider-Man films, seeing Macguire and Garfield don their suits once again was truly a dream come true.

Happily, it appears as if both actors enjoyed their return to the role, while current Spider-Man Tom Holland enjoyed having them on board. The trio of Peter Parkers have also formed a bond off-screen, one forged by being uniquely able to understand what the others have gone through.

The “Spider-Boys”

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland revealed that the three actors even have a group chat together, which is aptly titled “Spider-Boys”.

“Myself, Andrew, Tobey — we have this amazing bond as three people who have been through something that is so unique that we really are like brothers. We have a great group chat and we catch up every now and then. It’s called the Spider-Boys.”

Naturally, the question arises, what do Spider-Men talk about?

“I was doing a charity event in London for the Brothers Trust. I was asking if they would be so kind as to sign a poster to auction off. They were obviously happy to oblige,” he replies.

You know, your typical Spider-Man stuff.

Holland’s One Regret

If there is one regret that Tom Holland has however it is a conversation that never happened. Reflecting back on his journey as Spider-Man, Holland is disappointed that he didn’t reach out to Garfield (whose planned third Spider-Man film was scrapped) after getting the role.

“That’s because of my naivete as a kid,” he says. “I was 19 when I got cast. I was so caught up in getting the role that I never took any time to think about what it must have been like for him. If I’d made my second movie and it didn’t necessarily deliver in the way it should have done and they recast me, I would really struggle to bounce back. Andrew bounced back in the most unbelievable way. I just wish I’d called him and just said, ‘You know I can’t turn down this opportunity.’”

Luckily, on the set of “No Way Home” Holland got a second chance.

“It was wonderful,” he says.
