Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 Quietly Announced In Blogpost

Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 after the company stated that Julian Gerighty (the Creative Director of Star Wars Outlaws) will become the new Executive Producer of The Division franchise.

Ubisoft announced Gerighty’s promotion and The Division 3 in a news post on the Ubisoft Blog. The announcement itself was revealed with little to no fanfare or excitement. It was simply mentioned in a post on the website. Many of The Division games, like Resurgence and Heartland, have yet to release.

Gerighty previously worked on Tom Clancy’s The Division as Associate Creative Director. After the game’s launch, he moved to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 as a Creative Director. Now, he’s back to the series as Executive Producer of the entire Division franchise and will lead other projects set in The Division universe, such as Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence and The Division Heartland.

Currently, Gerighty is focused on building a team for Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, which Massive Entertainment will lead. Then, the focus will remain on maintaining The Division 2’s updates and support and solidifying a brand identity which, in his words, is “still in its early years as a franchise.” He also mentions that the throughline for The Division is about refinement “it’s about pushing the quality bar consistently forward.”

Of course, Julian will still continue to work with Massive Entertainment to deliver Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft stated that the producer will remain on the project through launch to ensure that the game meets Ubisoft’s creative vision and provides a great experience for players.
