Timothée Chalamet, Luca Guadagnino’s Cannibal Love Tale – Deadline

Timothée Chalamet, Luca Guadagnino’s Cannibal Love Tale – Deadline

MGM has given us something to chew on. Here is the first full trailer for Bones and All, the cannibal love story starring Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell in the former’s reunion with his Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino. Take a look above at the footage — set to the creepy strains of Leonard Cohen’s “You Want It Darker” — and at the new poster below.

The film, which premiered at Venice, screened at Telluride and is set to play the London and New York festivals in October, is a story of first love between Maren (Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, an intense and disenfranchised drifter (Chalamet).

“You look like the kind that’s convinced himself he’s got this under his thumb,” Lee is told. “But you pull on one little thread …”

Michael Stuhlbarg, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon-Green, Jessica Harper, Jake Horowitz, Mark Rylance and Anna Cobb also star in the film. David Kajganich wrote the screenplay based on Camille DeAngelis’ novel.

The press notes call Bones and All — which hits theaters in November via MGM — “a work of both tender fragility and feral intensity, setting corporeal horror and runaway romance against a vividly textured Americana.” Call this what you will, as you feast.

Bone appétit.
