The Umbrella Academy Drops Teaser For Fourth And Final Season

Umbrella Academy is coming back for one last season, and Netflix has just released a very nonspecific teaser featuring its main cast. Netflix has also debuted an official poster for the season, featuring a network map-style artwork and the tagline “the final timeline.”

The teaser shows the actors behind the scenes, including shots of a big table read. While the cast are asked what fans can expect from the new season, don’t expect any solid details on the finale’s plot or storyline. As Five actor Aidan Gallagher puts it, “they can expect us in marketing material to try and dance around, getting people excited without saying anything new.”

Perhaps the most solid hint we get towards the new season is Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves, promising some “unbelieveable new characters” will be joining the show’s already large cast, which includes new villains.

The new poster also gives just a small hint at the plot of the final season, with a tagline naming it “the final timeline.” The poster shows The Umbrella Academy’s messy timeline plotted out as a graphic network map, with events from across the previous three seasons as highlights.

Previous seasons of the Umbrella Academy have messed with mind-bending time travel and multiple timelines, with the finale of season 3 ending with the Hargreeves family landing in a new version of Earth that’s different to anything they’ve seen so far. It’ll be interesting to see how the final season will wrap up its various complex plot threads and resolve the stories of its expanded cast.

The Umbrella Academy season 4 will arrive sometime in 2024.
