Most movies are a one-and-done type of deal. You sit down (probably with a snack), watch their plots unfold and — about a week later — forget about them. The Silence of the Lambs, however, is not one of those movies. Released over 30 years ago, Jonathan Demme’s psychological thriller is a cinematic triumph that only seems to get better with age. Following FBI trainee Clarice Starling as she hunts twisted serial killer Buffalo Bill, the film is intelligent, engaging, unique, and unpredictable. If you’re a fan of creepy storylines, chilling plot twists, and feeling glued to the edge of your seat, this critically-acclaimed masterpiece needs to be next on your watch (or rewatch) list.
