If comedic crime thrillers are your jam, prepare to fall in love with The Outlaws. The 2001 series, created by Elgin James and Stephen Merchant, premiered in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer before finding a streaming home on Prime Video in April 2022. The show follows seven strangers who seemingly have little in common — aside from the fact that they’re completing their respective community service sentences together at a rundown community center in Bristol. Merchant stars alongside a top-tier, chemistry-oozing cast that includes Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Darren Boyd, smooth king Christopher Walken, and more. Over the course of Season 1’s six episodes, shenanigans ensue, friendships form, crimes are committed, and the occasional dick joke is made. The show has depth, suspense, humor, heart — and again, Mr. Walken. What more could you want? The Outlaws Season 2 drops in August 2022.
