Long before Gabriel Guilbeau was cast as Chef “Gator” on Yellowstone, the California-native was working as an actual chef on the set of the show. But in a delicious twist of fate, “Gator” was soon plucked from the catering line to become a character on the show.
As the personal chef to the Dutton family (helmed by patriarch Kevin Costner), Gator is known for his cajun-inspired meals and homestyle food. Now, the real-life Gator is cooking up some new recipes inspired by the show for Yellowstone: The Official Dutton Ranch Family Cookbook.
Normally priced at $34.99, but on sale right now for $24.49 at Amazon, the Yellowstone cookbook is published by Simon & Schuster and features more than 55 recipes that are certainly not vegan or made from wheatgrass.

Inside of the cookbook, you’ll find simple and tasty homestyle dishes, including Rip’s Fry Bread with Scrambled Eggs and Bacon, Beth’s Cheesy Hamburger Mac Casserole, Rancher’s Chicken and Biscuit Dumplings, and much more. It also includes recipes for boozy beverages, like Beth’s “Two Scoops of Ice Cream, Three Shots of Vodka” Smoothie. The cookbook also features handy tips for the kitchen, such as how to make the perfect smoked pulled pork, how to make biscuits exceptionally fluffy, and more.

While it contains fewer recipes than the standalone cookbook, the addition of the apron makes it worth giving as a gift — especially for the Yellowstone fan in your life.
