Everyone who doubted Ryan Gosling’s ability to play Ken in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming epic Barbie obviously did not watch his comedic turn in The Nice Guys. Gosling and Russel Crowe star as Holland March and Jackson Healy, two screw-up private investigators who try to solve the mysterious death of a porn star in the ’70s. Gosling throws himself into March and fully commits to the physical humor, creating a character unlike we’ve seen before from the actor. Russell similarly shines opposite Gosling, becoming the perfect foil with his signature gruffness. This is the perfect movie to stream for those nights you’re looking for something new. This laugh out loud comedy will definitely surprise you.
