For the first time ever, Disney will be releasing physical media for their most popular streaming series when The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and Loki all get Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases later this year.
Loki will be the first series to hit shelves when it arrives on September 26. The hit Marvel series will be followed by WandaVision on November 28 and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian on December 12.
The titles will feature “SteelBook packaging, concept art cards and some never-before-seen bonus features.”
The SteelBook edition will feature brand-new box art designed by artist Attila Szarka and collectible concept art cards.
The Foundation of Disney+
The three series represent the foundation of Disney’s streaming success.
The Mandalorian debuted with the rest of Disney+ on November 12, 2019, and has remained the streamer’s flagship show.
The success of The Mandalorian not only helped revitalize Star Wars as a franchise, but led to the creation of Andor, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
WandaVision, meanwhile, was the first Marvel Studios Disney+ series and thus introduced the MCU to streaming. The series was a massive success with both audiences and critics, helping to pave the way for a slew of Marvel shows including The Falcon and the Winter Solider, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and more.
Loki, another Marvel show, quickly followed in WandaVision’s footsteps, on its way to becoming the most-watched MCU series, as well as the first to warrant a second season.
While we don’t yet know the special features include in the WandaVision and Mandalorian releases, Disney has released details on what Loki will include.
‘Loki’ Bonus Features
The Loki bonus feature will include:
