Sterlin Harjo’s stellar crime dramedy, The Lowdown, is back at last, reuniting viewers with citizen journalist and self-proclaimed “truthstorian,” Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke). This season kicks off with Lee winning Citizen Journalist of the Year, and true Lee fashion, deliver a rambling speech upon his acceptance. Though this bothers his daughter Francis (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), the speech was positively received by Ginger (Betty Gilpin), a public defender Lee not only falls for, but gets the chance to team up with in his quest for the truth in Tulsa. With continued excellence from Hawke, and superb additions in Gilpin and Tommy Lee Jones, The Lowdown has got us hooked. The first two episodes are streaming now on Hulu, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on FX and Hulu.
