Glamour: I need to know: During the pickleball date, did you fall on accident or on purpose? You were fine, and the “injury” was for show, but what exactly happened?
April: Well, as a woman who is wise and likes to win her man, desperate times call for desperate measures. So I had to rely on my senses and fake a fall, and that’s what I did. But the truth is, I got hurt after that. I have no idea how. I got home and my ankle was cracked up. I went to my chiropractor and he has to push it back in. I don’t know what happened. So I did really kind of have a small injury. But it was well worth it because I got to have a moment with him, and obviously it didn’t work. I got kicked off anyhow. But I did my gig. I gave it the old college try.
You sure did. Let’s talk about playing Never Have I Ever with the ladies. Was there anything that was too racy to make it on air?
I think what I said was racy enough. They did stop at the right time for me. No, I’m really a nice girl except when it comes to my heart. My heart is my compass, and if I fall in love with somebody, I want them. I just go dumb. That is true, though. Psychologically, when you fall in love, the front cortex of your brain stops working. And so mine really goes numb and I just want him. Gerry and I didn’t have an intense connection, so if he would’ve been somebody that I loved, it would’ve been like all tackle city. I would’ve ripped off my panties, put on a sundress, and I would’ve run over women. So my family’s happy that didn’t happen.
When you asked if anybody had been with a woman sexually and Susan took a spoonful of ice cream, the next camera shot showed you also eating your ice cream. So was that your way of also…
No, I’ve never been with a woman. But [based on the camera shot and editing] I wondered it, too, and so did my daughter and my son. And I was like, no, no, no. You know all the stuff I do with the bad boys in town, because I love bad boys. But I like to tame them. It doesn’t usually always work. But yeah, I never did. But I was shocked. I think I gawked.
