A new clip from The Flash movie previews Michael Keaton’s Batcave as Batman agrees to help Barry Allen to find Superman. After having been in the DCEU for years, Barry Allen is finally getting his own movie as Ezra Miller returns as the Scarlet Speedster this summer. While the fastest man alive will be the central character of the story, The Flash will also weave in the larger multiverse, including the return of Keaton as Batman.
With The Flash movie coming up in only a few weeks, Fandango has released a new clip from the upcoming DCEU film. The footage sees the two different versions of Barry exploring the Batcave before Keaton’s Bruce Wayne arrives.
The clip shows a point in The Flash movie after Barry discovers that he is trapped in a different universe, hence why he is trying to find Superman. This is also prior to them having found Kara Zor-El, who will be played by Sasha Calle.
Everything The Flash Batcave Clip Reveals About The Movie
While The Flash movie takes place in a different universe, it will be following Keaton’s Batman years after the events of Batman Returns. Based on the clip alone, it is clear that his Batman has evolved the Batcave quite a lot as technology has evolved over the years. To begin with, it definitely seems bigger, as if Bruce has built it out more from the last time it was seen in 1992.
One of the bigger updates with the Batcave is what is seen with Keaton’s Batwing, which is far more advanced than his first version. Merchandise for The Flash movie revealed that it is the “Ultimate Batwing,” although whether or not they will actually call it that in the film remains to be seen. It’s interesting, however, that the Batmobile still remains mostly the same, but that is likely due to nostalgia.
Given how long it has been since Batman Returns, it will be exciting to learn what Keaton’s Batman has been up to over the last three decades. Even though it will likely be the last time Keaton ever suits up as the Dark Knight, his return is still one of the most anticipated aspects of The Flash movie. With weeks left to go, time will tell what other upgrades The Flash movie will reveal about Keaton’s Batman.
