The first quarter of 2022 has come to a close, and it’s time to round up the most popular shows viewers were streaming during the first part of the year. Reelgood recently published a report ranking the 50 most-watched shows of the quarter across all streaming services, and the top title might surprise you.
Apple TV+ wins for its film CODA, which recently won multiple Oscar Awards including Best Picture, which no doubt boosted its popularity. Euphoria was the top TV show, followed by another Apple TV+ original, Severance, the workplace psychological thriller starring Adam Scott.
A wide variety of streaming services are represented on the list, including Netflix with titles like Inventing Anna, and The Adam Project, Disney+ with Encanto, and Turning Red, Prime Video with Mrs. Maisel and Upload, while some of Hulu’s best work includes The Dropout, Fresh, and more.
Rankings are based on the average of the highest two weeks of streams and engagement per title on the Reelgood platform in the United States across all SVOD and AVOD services in Q1 2022.
