She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany grabbed headlines during 2023’s SAG-AFTRA strike when she slammed Disney CEO Bob Iger for being “completely out of touch.”
At the time, Iger was under fire for comments he made about the timing of the labor unrest.

“It’s very disturbing to me,” Iger had said when asked about the labor strikes. “We’ve talked about disruptive forces on this business and all the challenges we’re facing, the recovery from COVID which is ongoing, it’s not completely back. This is the worst time in the world to add to that disruption.”

“I think he’s completely out of touch. He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen, who make people watch these shows, who bring viewers to him and him money.”
In the aftermath of Maslany’s comments, many wondered if her public stance would preclude her from returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In 2024, the actress seemingly walked back her comments.
“I think he’s completely out of touch. He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen, who make people watch these shows, who bring viewers to him and him money.”
By 2025, however, Maslany was back in hot water after urging viewers to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions over Jimmy Kimmel’s temporary suspension.

Now, the actress has broken her silence on a possible MCU return.
Would the Actress Return?
During a recent interview with Radio Times, Maslany performed some mental gymnastics to explain why she would still return to the MCU.

She-Hulk, Maslany noted, “is outside of what I feel like the corporation is doing” – and therefore, she would likely return, if asked.”
The actress had nothing but praise for both the character and the Disney+ series.

“I love She Hulk, and I loved what [Attorney at Law creator] Jessica Gao did with her,” she continued. “I feel like it was very loyal to the comics and all of that.”
According to Maslany, however, she will likely not be the first to know.

“If there was a space where it made sense for her to come back… I mean, I don’t know anything, and I do think that the internet will know before I do.”
