Tulsa King on Paramount+ follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet. The series premieres on Nov. 13.
After a five-year time jump, Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler Season 3 sees the civil war over and the advent of a new era of superheroes and supervillains as a result of a cultural revolution. The first three episodes will premiere on Oct. 6.
The Good Nurse premieres on Netflix on Oct. 26. Suspicious that her colleague (Eddie Redmayne) is responsible for a series of mysterious patient deaths, a nurse (Jessica Chastain) risks her own life to uncover the truth in this gripping thriller based on true events.
In Reasonable Doubt, Raamla Mohamed leads the show’s all-Black writers room and executive produces alongside Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone for Simpson Street and Larry Wilmore via Wilmore Films. Washington also directs the first episode. The series is the first scripted drama from Onyx Collective.
Based on artists Tegan and Sara Quin’s New York Times best-selling memoir High School, the series of the same name is described as a story of your own identity—a journey made even more complicated when you have a twin whose own struggle and self-discovery so closely mimic your own. Told through a backdrop of ‘90s grunge and rave culture, the series weaves between parallel and discordant memories of twin sisters growing up down the hall from one another. The series premieres Oct. 11 on Amazon’s Freevee.
