We have recent DCU Barside Buzz to share today. A Superman: Legacy working title, Matthew Vaughn to direct The Authority, and Andy Muschietti to direct Brave and the Bold. That’s what is claimed by Reddit sub r/DCUELeaks who posted a recent mod queue share. I won’t cover the unverified rumors here at all, including some potential plot leaks for Creature Commandos. However the three pieces of news in the title were all in the verified sources sections. Here is what they said.
The Superman: Legacy working title is ‘Genesis’. Matthew Vaughn is now locked in as director of The Authority following previous talks. Andy Muschietti is set to direct The Brave and the Bold (Batman).
Given how pleased those at DC are supposedly about The Flash, Muschietti makes sense. People loved the Batman action seen in the trailer for The Flash, so it seems a solid choice. As for Vaughn, well he did direct the best X-Men movie by a mile in First Class and also pulled off Kick Ass as one of the best comic book movies of it’s day. I’m not a huge Kingsman fan, but many other people love them, so again this seems a solid choice. As for the working title of Superman: Legacy, I doubt it means much, these names are not always chosen with intention. Thought perhaps it’s Gunn’s way of saying this is the genesis of his DCU?

All three movies have already been announced by DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran as being part of Chapter 1 of the new DCU, Gods and Monsters.
So far it seems like Superman: Legacy has begun casting, but we still don’t have a shoot date. The others two we know even less about and have no idea when they could film? So, what do you think of this latest DCU related Barside Buzz? If this is not legit, expect James Gunn to debunk it soon. However, if Gunn stays quiet….well. Let us know below as always.
