Super Rare Games Marks 100th Nintendo Switch Release with a Duo of Cozy Classics

Collectors of video games have long loved the physical game. Of course, over the years the digital format has become more popular, but now more than ever physical games have collectors in a frenzy as companies such as Super Rare Games produce limited quantities of physical releases. This allows smaller, most often indie games the opportunity to see their game printed, but also people who want the title on their shelves, the chance to purchase it.

Super Rare Games has just announced that they will release their 100th physical Nintendo Switch title since they launched in 2018. To celebrate this milestone, Super Rare Games will be releasing two games that fans will no doubt be excited about.

Game One: Lil Gator Game

The first game is Playtonic’s Lil Gator Game which will be released on October 26, 2023. This game release is in celebration of Super Rare Game’s 100th Nintendo Switch physical release, and what a game to be chosen to do so! The game will see a total of 4000 copies available. Super Rare Games has provided the following information as to what to expect from each edition.

On top of this, to further celebrate it being the 100th physical Nintendo Switch release. Super Rare Games will be including 300 special gold foil cards across all editions for a lucky few to receive.

Game Two: A Short Hike

The second game saw success when it was released on the Nintendo Switch, and so it is back for more, only on PlayStation 4 this time. A Short Hike, which will also be released on October 26, 2023. The game will see a total of 1000 total copies available. So, it will be pretty limited. Super Rare Games has provided the following information as to what to expect from the standard edition.

The estimated shipping date is expected to be in early December.

  • Standard Edition
The Standard Edition comes with the disc, fold out map, our exclusive sleeve and sticker with every copy.

With both games being incredibly fun and cozy, it seems like December is the perfect time to settle down with a hot cocoa, under the blankets, the cold weather blasting outside, and a cozy game in hand. Lil Gator Game and/or A Short Hike will undoubtedly be the perfect games for such a season.
