Super Junior member Heechul took fans by surprise after announcing his wedding on SBS’s My Little Old Boy. He reportedly wore a red tuxedo for his wedding.
Korean boyband Super Junior member Kim Hee-chul, better known as Heechul, has surprised fans by announcing his wedding on the popular television show My Little Old Boy. During a recent episode, Heechul reportedly visited a tuxedo shop in preparation for his upcoming nuptials. In a candid moment, he expressed his desire to lose weight for the wedding and challenge the traditional expectation that grooms must always wear black tuxedos, inquiring about the availability of white ones. Adding to the intrigue, Heechul revealed his intention to wear a red tuxedo for the wedding and extended invitations to notable guests like Tak Jae Hoon, Kim Jong Kook, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Heo Kyung Hwan.
However, what took the cake in this episode of My Little Old Boy, is his partner. He raised curiosity by teasing, “First, I will introduce you to the bride,” informs Koreaboo.
“Today’s groom is Kim Heechul, and the bride is also Kim Heechul, whom I love very much.” He went on to share that he was participating in sologamy, a ceremony where one marries oneself, emphasising his pursuit of personal happiness.
In response to this revelation, Heechul’s mother inquired, “So you’re saying you won’t get married?” To which, Heechul explained, “I am not against the idea of marrying someone else. I do consider the possibility of marriage, but I pondered, ‘Do I genuinely deserve to love a woman?’ and ‘Shouldn’t I prioritise self-love a bit more?'”
Heechul candidly reflected, “The saddest thing in my twenties was not being able to kiss myself. Have you ever looked in the mirror after a shower and kissed your own reflection? This wedding is something I need more than anyone else.”
During the ceremony, Heechul recited wedding vows, and Kim Jong Kook serenaded the occasion with a congratulatory wedding song.
