Shouldn’t trust articles either.

This one is based on the steamDB data and it’s specifically about the Bethesda Game Studios games, but it’s specifically about “main” versions. And why does that matter?

Well because if it was Bethesda as a whole, they would have to consider both Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, the latter being mostly commonly seen as the publisher. But it’s also listed as the developer for some key older Bethesda games like Arena and Daggerfall, but more importantly for Redguard and Battlespire both of which have a lower score than Starfield. But that could be a mistake, after all is true that Bethesda Game Studios is the most commonly known of the two.

But the bit about versions is a different story. Because if they took into consideration the VR games – that are sold separately and are separated instalions – Fallout 4 VR also has a lower score than SF. And it’s very hard for this to be a mistake as the author did list the two different versions of Fallout 3 with two different scores. So they definitely saw that on the listing.

And I could give the benefit of the doubt to the author, but given that this same publication gave SF a 6/10. I would argue that it was likely intentional.
