At Star Wars Celebration 2023, Dave Filoni confirmed that Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi will officially be returning for a second season.
Filoni shared the news at the end of a panel celebrating the 15th anniversary of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and he revealed he just loved working on the first season so much that he wanted it to continue.
“Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time, I decided to do some more,” Filoni said.
For those unfamiliar, Tales of the Jedi’s first season told the story of Ahsoka and Count Dooku at different parts of their lives and also saw Liam Neeson return to voice Qui-Gon Jinn.
In our Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi review, we said it “is a strong, tightly written showcase for two important characters in Star Wars lore: Count Dooku and Ahsoka Tano. Dooku in particular gets a good amount of meat added to his character’s bones, while the other episodes feature a welcome look into Ahsoka at different points in her life.”
Tales of the Jedi’s second season was just one of the many big reveals at Star Wars Celebration and it joins the first trailer for Ahsoka, the news that three live-action movies are in the works, and that the upcoming Star Wars: The Acolyte series is part Frozen and part Kill Bill.
