Star Wars Celebration dropped a ton of news and reveals on fans of the franchise, the biggest of which had to be the debut of the first trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka. The trailer was a big deal filled with major moments — more gasp-worthy moments than we’ve gotten in all of The Mandalorian Season 3. But more than anything, the Ahsoka trailer — with all of its many character reveals — confirmed that Star Wars Rebels is suddenly the Star Wars series of the moment. Set in the run-up to 1977’s Star Wars, the animated series Star Wars Rebels follows one tight knit crew as they take on the Empire and ultimately join forces with the growing Rebel Alliance. Not only have characters from the series popped up on The Mandalorian recently, but Ahsoka will include at least five characters from the show: Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Chopper, and Grand Admiral Thrawn.
