SPIDER-MAN AND JEAN GREY FACE THEIR CLONES
When Ben Reilly lost his memories and became the villainous Chasm, he found a kindred spirit in Madelyne Pryor, the Jean Grey clone who ruled the hellish Limbo dimension. Following years of perceived slights, the two clones decided to join forces and exact revenge on Spider-Man and Jean Grey in DARK WEB (2022) #1 by Zeb Wells and Adam Kubert. Madelyne launched a demonic invasion of New York and turned Reilly’s girlfriend, Janine Godbe, into the chaotic Hallows’ Eve.
Although the clones captured the heroes, Madelyne relented when Jean willingly shared her memories with her. Chasm, still wanting to kill Spider-Man, briefly took over Limbo. However, the X-Men, Spider-Man, Madelyne, and their allies dethroned him. While Jean and Madelyne made peace, Ben remained obsessed with Spider-Man and briefly took over Peter’s life.
