Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is currently in production, bringing the Blue Blur back to the big-screen for another adventure, following the colossal success of the previous three films. The next installment is positioned as a major tentpole that will expand the franchise’s lore, with Jeff Fowler back in the director’s chair for the fourth entry in the video game movie series. Early teasers have revealed some major hints about the plot of the next film, but the latest footage out of CinemaCon gives fans their best look yet at the sequel and the surprises it may have in store, including the unexpected fate of Jim Carrey‘s fan-favorite villain Dr. Robotnik.
